Downloading latest Adobe FlashPlayer
Help!!! Just cannot download the new version of FlashPlayer..I get the message quot;Internet Explorer has blocked this site from using an ActiveX control in an unsafe manner.As a result this page may not display correctlyquot; I have tried Adobe's help page and clicked all the boxes they suggest with no improvement. The advice then gets quite complicated and beyond me. Can anyone offer any helpful suggestions please? Louise
Have you tried a different download site,
from : localhost/
in internet explorer window when you click on download file,look just below or above the address bar you will see a long yellow bar,right click on this and left click onquot;allow downloadquot;or some words similar to that.

The allowing activex as quoted above should work. Some have used the adobe uninstaller for previous flash, then reboot and go to adobe flash site and install version 9. Sometimes there's an issue about closing your browser. But should not be a problem.

As I couldn't install 9 at all I was reluctant to uninstall one which worked partially in case 9 still wouldn't download and then I was left in the void! Louise
