Good cam for 350 vortec heads

Im building a 350 to put in my 92 s10 pickup and am going to get the gm performanc vortec heads but it says will allow up to a .480 lift cam.  going threw summit im not finding to many cams with under that lift at a decent price i plan on using a eldebrock performer intake and was thinking a performer RPM cam but couldnt find one with the right lift.  anyone have any ideas for a fairly inexpensive good cam to use. one with a lil more toruqe would be nice  hope this makes sence

tell us about your rig (trans, tcase, rearend gears etc) and what you want to do with it.  then we might get close to helping you.

its a stock 92 s10 4.3 5 speed not sure gear ratio havent owned it long goign to keep it stock for a while and mabye another sfa down the road have a 14 bolt sitting in the yard but right now just stock and swapping a 350 have a spare set of axles so when I go threw the 2 sets ill get like a 8.8 inch or something

i bought those exact heads from jegs along with the comp xtreme 4x4 cam with .480 lift.  they assured me it would work but i ended up pushing some studs outta right off the bat.  I went round and round with them and eventually sent back the heads and ordered a set from summit that is machined for up to .520 lift and screw in studs.  and well i found out that when i put on my timing gears i matched it dot to dot- but i didnt do it the right way as it said on the instructions and that was more then likely my problem the whole time   So in other words check that comp 4x4 cam- it has good low end #'s later Ryan
